Eastview Bike Park Master Plan and Pump Track - Guelph, ON
Our landscape architects developed a master plan for a dedicated bike skills facility at the Eastview Community Park.
The City of Guelph identified the opportunity to create a dedicated bicycle skills facility within Eastview Community Park to meet the needs of riders of all ages and abilities. Aboud & Associates developed the master plan using prior community engagement findings, creating a phased framework that balances technical challenge, accessibility, and long-term sustainability.
The master plan established three phases: an asphalt pump track as the initial feature, followed by a series of progressive jump lines and a technical trail network. This phased strategy ensures the facility can grow as community interest and resources allow, while each stage functions as a complete and independent riding experience.
Make it stand out.
Phase One, the asphalt pump track, opened in 2025 as the first of its kind in Guelph. Delivered through a design-build partnership with Velosolutions, the facility features two tracks: a beginner track for new riders and an advanced track for more experienced cyclists. The continuous loops of rollers and berms on each track are carefully engineered to provide progression, confidence-building, and flow appropriate to the skill level. The durable asphalt surfaces accommodate bicycles, scooters, and skateboards, making the tracks a versatile recreation hub and a showcase of high-quality design and construction.
A pedestrian plaza complements the tracks, creating a welcoming threshold into the facility and a comfortable place for families, spectators, and riders to gather. The plaza includes a shade structure and accessible seating, offering comfort and inclusivity for all visitors while encouraging longer stays and social interaction. Together, the dual tracks and plaza set a strong foundation for future phases and establish Eastview Bike Park as a destination for active recreation in Guelph..
